Choosing to Be, Happy!

Image
Every day, I am awestruck by how happy I am. Some nights, as I'm falling asleep, I realize that my lips are curved up ever so slightly, which makes me break out into a full blown smile and I giggle. Life is so good.  I struggled for so many years to have this, so many years, searching for it—you cannot and will not, ever, find true happiness outside of yourself. If only I had more money, if only I had the right partner, if only I had more support, if only I had a nicer car, a bigger house, a better job, if only I were thinner, if only I lived closer to the mountains, the beach, the city, the country, if only...none of that, none. of. it. will make you happy, and what if-ing and if only-ing is wasted energy projected into a future that does not exist. Life is happening right now. You can choose to be grateful and happy in this moment, or you can choose to blame all the things you don't have, and all of your perceived shitty circumstances for being unhappy. The only thing we hav...

Here

Image
I protect my energy, fiercely. I protect it because it took me a long time to get here. And, where is here exactly? Here is a higher state of mind. Here is a higher state of being, a higher vibration, a higher frequency. Here is gratitude and love and peace so profound that it defies logic. It bends the mind on every level. Everything is better here. Nothing is mundane here. There is intention and magic and extraordinary things happening here, in this present moment. I am steeped in gratitude.  Gratitude and present moment awareness are the keeper of the keys to an unimaginable Life—one filled with more Peace, Love and Abundance than you ever dreamed possible.

Abundance

Image
One day, you realize that you have seamlessly moved into that which you have been manifesting. There is no slap in the face, profound, ah-ha moment—you’re just there. It’s a feeling of believing and disbelieving, simultaneously.  Wait, it’s really happened? You ask yourself.  You laugh through tears. You feel intense gratification and unbridled joy, but under the surface there is peace and calm as if this was always meant to be, because it was.  It is.  The Universe is not short on abundance. As a matter of fact, it is limitless.  When you choose to live in the present moment, consciously aware, and grateful for everything,  everything  , you  un consciously become an expression of that gratitude, and abundance flows into you like a river. I’m drowning in the river, ever grateful.

Morning Time

Image
Early morning, is my time. Valkyrie and I rise with the sun, oftentimes we are present just before our star breaks the horizon, painting that black line with breathtakingly vibrant hues of magenta, orange and yellow. Val is indifferent, but I am awed by its magnificence.  Robins are the first birds to sing in the morning. Their song, an orchestral delight for my ears only. The sun slowly rising with the singing birds announcing the arrival of a new day, is being witness to a moment of divine creation.  In that moment I am the quintessence of peace, of calm, of bliss…because I am One with Everything. My body thrums with the vibration of Life, my Spirit becomes golden light and I feel like time is standing still. And then the brilliant rays of the sun crest that imaginary plane, and the day begins.  #morning #sunrise #nature #gaia #motherearth #time #golden #goldenlight #light #lightworker #pause #breathe #birds #robins #birdsong #sun #warmth #spring #peace #peaceful...

What is the Universe Saying to You?

Image
Life can be awful, tragic, painful and unfair. But Life can also be surprising, unexpected and utterly beautiful. Listen. Pay attention when the Universe is speaking to you. She will send you little signs and messages, maybe so subtle that you skim right over them. They will keep coming. They will keep coming until you acknowledge them, or until you are pushed so far outside of your comfort zone that you have no choice but to acquiesce. And when you do, be ready for your life to unfold and blossom like a daffodil basking in the warm rays of the sun in Spring.   I am always awed by what happens when I surrender to the calling of my soul's purpose in these precious moments that make up my Life. Is it hard sometimes? Absolutely fucking crippling, to be honest, but we can’t grow if nothing ever changes. And those changes just might be opening a door you never, ever, would have opened willingly. Let the Light flood in through that portal and bathe in the golden abundance of all that the...

Peace and Quiet

Image
Spirit calls me to quiet of late. My thoughts, a flat calm. Is it the sublimely spring-like weather that beckons me to porch sitting, or is it the musical flurry of finches, sparrows and juncos that I long to be near? Does it matter? I have never in my life known peace so complete. I feel connected to all things and when it is my time to transition from this earthly realm, my energy will simply return home, to All That Is, like a wave returning to the sea. We are not just a drop in the ocean—we are the entire ocean in a single drop. The whole of the Universe is inside you. You are never, ever alone.

Light Work

I write. I write poetry, nonfiction, flash fiction, short stories, children’s books, blogs, and spicy romance under a pen name.  It’s been said that you should write what you know. Well, I know a lot about heartbreak and struggle—less about happiness, peace and gratitude, but I’m learning, and I’m not vain enough anymore to believe that my life is worthy of reading about any more than any of yours—everyone has a story to tell—but, writing is my calling, my therapy, my island of sanity that ever saves me. Read it. Don’t read it. No matter.  Childhood trauma, loneliness, low self-esteem, alcohol dependency, toxic relationships, suicidal thoughts, severe depression, panic attacks, anxiety, worry, fear…a lifetime of pain healed during my dark night of the soul. For those who don’t know, the phrase, “dark night of the soul” is often used informally to describe an extremely difficult and painful period in one’s life.  Mine lasted 15 years.  Then one day, an epiphany, and t...
